On the 14th of March the First
official Home Countries Match took place at Bristol with the Welsh competing
against the English.
the winning team's name would be the first to be engraved on the brand new
Trophy specially commissioned for this event.
It turned out to be a very close fought match with the Welsh team winning by
just four points.
